Our school district welcomes parents and community members who are interested in volunteering. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, from tutoring students to coaching sports, administrative tasks, and much more.

Position Volunteer Information

Position Volunteers are unpaid adults who work with a school or a program, activity, or service.  They often have direct volunteer contact with children and are responsible for the child’s welfare.  Some common examples of Position Volunteers include field trip chaperons, tutors, coaches, activity advisors, and recess or library aides.  All people wishing to volunteer at Deer Lakes must apply through the link on the left-hand side of this page labeled "Volunteer Clearances." 

Guest Volunteer Information

Guest volunteers are adults who voluntarily provide a service to the district, without compensation and who work directly under the supervision and direction of a school administrator, a teacher, or other member of the school staff; and who do not have direct volunteer contact.  Our guest volunteers assist in classroom celebrations, school assemblies, or school concerts; read to students; collect tickets at performances or sporting events; work concession stands; participate in “Career Day,” etc.  All volunteers interested in helping with our extracurricular activities must apply through the links found on the left-hand side of this page labeled "Volunteer Clearances."
